Earthquake Update from Prof. Wagner
I have just checked the official sources and there areNO warnings, watches or advisories out for tsunamis
resulting from today’s earthquake which has now been upgraded to a 7.4
at the epicenter.
The tremors we felt on St. Kitts were estimated at about 4-5 on the Richter scale. The earthquake was so deep in the earth that it would not produce a tsunami.
Early reports indicate that there was little or no damage on the islands nearest to the epicenter.
